KANU’S RELEASE: BIAFRANS HAVE AGAIN PROVED BIAFRA INDOMITABLE SPIRIT – OKORIE

Former Presidential candidate, Chief Chekwas Okorie is in high spirits at the moment over the described as another proof of the indomitable spirit of Ndigbo, by meeting the near-impossible conditions for the release of the Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu regained his freedom on Friday, after meeting the conditions stated by Justice Binta Murtala Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, where he and two others have been standing trial for treason for almost two years now.
Okorie, was quite elated that Ndigbo took what he called “obnoxious conditions,” as a challenge and exhibited the stuff they were made of by rallying together to ensure that all of them were met to free one of their own.
A statement he issued immediately after the feat, said: “I am elated and indeed delighted that our illustrious son Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who put his life on the line for all of us has regained his freedom on bail.
This is one of those times I am proud to be an Igbo and an indigenous Biafran in Nigeria.
The conditions ordered by a Federal High Court to admit Nnamdi Kanu to bail are the most obnoxious, stringent, wicked and near impossible conditions in the annals of Nigeria’s judicial process. Typical of Ndigbo whenever they are challenged, they rose to the occasion promptly without waiting to be persuaded.
“I commend Distinguished Senator Enyinnaya Aberibe, the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial Zone, who immediately stepped forward to fulfill a critical aspect of the bail conditions.
To underscore the Biafran spirit and Igbo solidarity, Chief Osita Chidoka, a former Minister of Aviation and former Corp Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Commission, from Anambra State, filled yet another critical aspect of the bail conditions. I doff my hat for the Igbo business men whose names I have been guided not to mention, who met the cutthroat financial aspect of the conditions. I am eternally proud of these patriots.
“The lessons we can immediately draw from this sordid experience is that everybody is important in our struggle for self-determination and political liberation. The Political Class, Intellectual and Business Elite as well as the Religious Leaders are indispensable factors in this struggle. I hope and pray that we internalise this indispensable lesson.
“Those who unconscionably and ignorantly canvass that Biafrans in Nigeria should boycott the political process and unwittingly surrender our political space to invaders and their surrogates should now wear their thinking caps. It is yet morning on creation day.”
