Photos of the aircraft undergoing testing was released by a Facebook User Bendon Benson on the Radio Biafra Facebook group.

Nnewi – The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Thursday said that in as much as it respect the Biafran elders and traditional title holders in Biafra land who are making different comments over its decision to boycott elections in Biafra land starting with Anambra state governorship election, unless it is given a date for Biafra referendum, it cannot be intimidated by such elders and traditional title holders, neither will they set agenda for IPOB. The President in the letter dated July 24 hinted that his return from the United Kingdom to resume duties at home is subject to his doctors’ advice. The Nigerian Senate, on Wednesday, barred a former president, Goodluck Jonathan from running for a second term in office. The decision were reached after voting in series of new bills being passed by the upper legislative chamber. The Bill sought that any vice president who had completed a tenure of a sitting president and contested a fresh four years mandate shall not be eligible to run for a second term of office.

The Yoruba Youth Congress (YYC) and the Coalition of Southwest Youths groups have called on the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to order the immediate arrest of the leader of the Indigeneous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu. The groups accused Kanu of taking Nigerians for granted, stressing that the IPOB leader is attempting to provoke the Nigerian youths. The leader of the coalition of northern youths, Yerima Shettima, has expressed the intent to influence northern lawmakers to include referendum in the constitution allowing ethnic groups to secede from the country. The move, according to Shettima, will take effect after a response from the United Nations to his letter demanding that the organisation declare the Indigenous People of Biafra and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, terrorists. Shettima stated that the Igbo were free to return to the South-East if they believed in ‘Biafra Republic,’ adding that those who believed in secession had no reason to live in the north. According to him, the unity of the country is negotiable and any group that does not wish to be part of the country should be free to secede through a UN-supervised referendum.

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a notorious robbery suspect who has been terrorizing the State for a long time. A notorious armed robbery suspect in Rivers State, Ogadinma Amadi, has said that he became an unrepentant criminal because he was looking for money for the treatment of his mother currently suffering from stroke. Amadi, who spoke with Southern City News when he was paraded at the Police Division in Rumuolumeni, explained that though he had denounced cultism, he could not stop armed robbery because of his sick mother. The Police have smashed a four-man armed kidnap syndicate terrorizing Aba and its environs.
